This remarkable work is a pictorial survey of French Art Deco ironworks in the 1920s and early 1930s. The 32 striking photographic plates reproduced in heliotype depict numerous realized projects of hand railings, ironwork, gates, doors and doorways executed by some of the most famous architects and craftsmen of the period, such as: Raymond Subes, Schenck et Fils, Gilbert Poillerat, M. Bergue, Pierre Garnier, G. Le Bourgeois, Charles Piguet, Szabo, Viret and Marmorat, J. Alleman, Carlu, Louis-Hippolyte Boileau, Baudet, Donon, Roussel, Pedro Nadal, Pierre Patout, etc. Heavy water-staining to front board (not affecting leaves inside). Corners rubbed. Minor age-toning along paper margin. Text and captions in French. Portfolio in overall poor to fair, interior in good+ to very good, plates in very good condition.
