Frame Sz: 11 3/4"H x 8"W

Antique pictorial map of the White Mountains area, by W. Garnet, published by the Flume Reservation, Franconia Notch, c. 1920s. This charming pictorial map of part of New Hampshire includes illustrations throughout showing various local sights, activities, animals, and more. One of our favorites is the "Famous Naturalist on field trip" which shows him salting a bird's tail (there was an old myth that you could catch a bird by salting its tail)! Includes many of the mountains with their heights, also highways and roads, rivers, and towns.
