The entertaining memoirs of the famous hairdresser, credited with inventing the ‘bob’, and who cut and sculpted the hair of Elsie de Wolfe (she provided the foreword), the Duchess of Windsor, Elizabeth Marbury, Elsa Maxwell, Josephine Baker, Greta Garbo, Claudette Colbert,  Mrs Harrison Williams.  Includes his White Ball in 1927, a description of a masquerade to which Lady Cunard arrived with live rhinoceri etc., etc.  With photographs of his hairstyles, clients, hands, a description of his glass house, and photographs of his glass table-settings, the glass coffin in which he slept.  After Antoine's death, his successor Alexandre is rumored to have brought his mummified hands from Poland to be interred in Paris.
